Note: Due to deadlines, new projects, and a high volume of reader mail, I'm not always able to respond to messages as quickly as I'd like to. But I do read every one and will get back to you as soon as I can!

Gemma loves connecting with readers and is always thrilled to do in-person events. If you'd like to schedule an event, please contact her directly at: gemmasreadermail@gmail.com
Workshops
Gemma has several workshops she has successfully presented to reader's and writer's groups, including: The Birth of a Book: from idea to print, What Not to Write: practical tips for creating fabulous manuscripts, Secrets of a Contest Diva: making writing contests work for you, New Author's Survival Guide: everything a newly (or soon to be!) published author needs to know, Promotion 101: maximize your exposure to readers, and Getting your Foot in the Door: writing query letters, synopses, and pitches. Workshops can be presented in person, or if that isn't possible, virtually. Gemma is happy to negotiate an honorarium that falls within your organization's budget.
Schools
As a mother and a former teacher herself, Gemma knows how important reading is to young people. She is always happy to visit schools for readings, workshops, author days, and book signings. She never charges a fee for school appearances, but for locations outside of the San Francisco Bay Area may ask for reimbursement of travel expenses.
